Global Chat

Link a channel to every other server that has Global Chat on. Messages sent there show up in all of them, with the sender's name, picture and server. Block users or servers you do not want to see.

How to set it up

  1. Turn Global Chat on, pick a channel, and save. Leave the channel empty and the bot creates a #global-chat channel for you. The bot posts a short welcome message there. Turning Global Chat off deletes a channel the bot created, but keeps one you picked.
  2. Messages sent in that channel are posted by the bot as an embed in every other connected server's global chat channel, with the sender's name, profile picture and server. Replies show who they answer, and editing or deleting a message updates every copy.
  3. Mentions are shown as plain names, so nobody is pinged. Messages with a server invite, messages that are too long, and messages sent faster than once every 3 seconds are removed.
  4. Block a user to hide their messages here. If they are in this server, they also cannot post. Block a server to hide everything from it. Use the lists on this page, or the Block buttons next to recent senders.
  5. Turn on filters to hide links, files, excessive caps, mass mentions, emoji spam, repeated messages, blocked words or messages from new accounts. They hide messages from other servers here, and remove messages from this server before they are shared. Turn on Block senders automatically to add anyone who breaks a filter to Blocked users.

Open a server from the dashboard, then open Global Chat. Changes apply as soon as you save. Commands for this module can be turned off from that same page.
