Honeypot
A trap channel that people are told not to post in. Spam bots post there anyway and are removed automatically.
How to set it up
- Make a channel such as #honeypot that everyone can see, near the top of the list, and pick it here. Spam bots post in every channel they can find, so they post in this one too.
- Pick what happens to anyone who posts there: softban (ban then unban, which wipes their recent messages and lets them come back), ban, kick, timeout or quarantine.
- A warning message is posted in the channel so real members know to leave it alone. The server owner, Administrators and exempt roles are never caught.
Open a server from the dashboard, then open Honeypot. Changes apply as soon as you save. Commands for this module can be turned off from that same page.
